Step-by-step guide

  1. Take Micro-USB cable and connect the USB-A connector to your Windows 7 or 10 (also works for Windwos 11) laptop and the Micro-USB connector to Slave (right hand side) controller.
  2. NOTE! A single-plug charger has only one controller, which is the Master controller. You can connect to this with the instructions of the Slave controller.

  3. If required, install the RNDIS driver for Windows from the Ensto wiki
  4. Open web browser (for example Chrome or FireFox)
  5. Load the below web pages depending which controller's state page you want to see
    1. If you need to access the Master controller, open page: http://192.168.123.123:81/state
    2. If you need to access the Slave controller, open page: http://192.168.123.123/state
  6. Load the below web pages depending which controller's Operator page you want to see
    1. If you need to access the Master controller's Operator page, open page: http://192.168.123.123:81/operator/operator
    2. If you need to access the Slave controller's Operator page, open page: http://192.168.123.123/operator/operator
  7. If the web page asks for login credentials, please provide the login credentials

Default Username: operator

Default Password: yellow_zone

Another possible way to connect laptop to controller

USB-to-Ethernet adapter is needed. It must to be inserted into USB-A connector (in dual sided charger you have to connect the connector in to the controller board you are trying to configure).

From the USB-to-Ethernet adapter the Ethernet cable goes in to the laptop.

  1. You will need to change the IP-address of your laptop to static address.
  2. For example: (IP-address: 192.168.124.120), (Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0), (Gateway: 192.168.124.1).
  3. Open web browser (for example Chrome or FireFox).
  4. Open state page: http://192.168.124.123
  5. Or open operator page: http://192.168.124.123/operator/operator
  6. If the web page asks for login credentials, please provide the login credentials.

Default Username: operator

Default Password: yellow_zone

Set or change backend URL

  • In the charger UI click on "Settings" in the left hand menu. You might need to use the same credentials as above.
  • Enter the same OCPP ID (ChargePointID) as in the backend.
  • Chose what "Connection Type" should be used on the charger. To know what is needed for which connection type see  the Ensto Wiki.
  • Chose OCPP Mode "OCPP-J 1.6", add Current ECO's backend URL:
    wss://connect.current.eco/Ocppj
and leave "HTTP Basic Authentication password" blank.

  • Click "Save & Restart" when done.
